Miss Orem’s Teen is exactly what it sounds like: it’s a division of the Miss Orem program for young women ages 13-18. Teens who sign up for the scholarship competition get access to professional development, networking, scholarship, community service opportunities, and will compete on-stage for the crown.
The role of Miss Orem's Teen is an exciting, fun, challenging year of service that requires energy, positivity, professionalism and courtesy. Miss Orem's Teen uses her term to inspire, promote, engage and represent teen girls throughout our city and their respective ambitions, goals, dreams and visions of their futures.
A first step to continuing her education, the role of Miss Orem's Teen is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that carries with it prestige, influence, responsibility and great honor. Each year the Miss Orem Scholarship Organization has been able to increase their scholarship awards. Not only are those who join the royalty rewarded, but there are also various additional scholarships available to contestants. All contestants will have the opportunity to choose a service initiative which they will be able to pursue throughout their year of service. They will also be connected to various service opportunities throughout the community. (Miss Orem 2022, Abbey Rindlisbacher, delivering donations to The Refuge Utah.)
Contestants will develop interview, public speaking, and performance skills throughout the course of the competition season. Should they join the royalty they will gain an entire year's worth of personal development opportunities. (Miss Orem 2021, Claire Inouye, advocating for Japanese rights in Washington D.C.)
Style represents the poise, grace, and confidence with which contestants carry themselves. We want each contestant to feel empowered to embrace themselves and showcase their unique personalities and talents. (Miss Orem 2016, Arline Pascual modeling a formal gown.)
Sisterhood represents the amazing network of women supporting women that each contestant gains when she competes at any level in the Miss American Organization. As a Miss America contestant you will have the opportunity to add to the legacy of this 100 year old organization. When preparing to compete think about what you want to add to this organization and how you can make a lasting positive impact on the community within which you serve.

Teens will privately meet with a panel of judges the morning of the competition for a 8 minute interview. The interview will account for 30% of their final score.
Each teen contestant will have 90 seconds to debut a talent of their choosing. Their talent performance will account for 20% of their final score.
Teens dawn their favorite fitness attire and perform a choreographed fitness routine on-stage. Fitness accounts for 20% of each contestant's final score.
Each contestant will answer a random questions on-stage and will be given 30-60 seconds to answer it eloquently. Their answer will account for 10% of their final score.
Contestants will get to choose a beautiful formal evening gown to wear as they walk across the stage. Judges will score their poise, grace, and most importantly CONFIDENCE. This score accounts for 20% of each contestant's final total.
