Who is Miss Orem's Teen?
Miss Orem’s Teen is exactly what it sounds like: it’s a division of the Miss Orem program for young women ages 13-18. Teens who sign up for the scholarship competition get access to professional development, networking, scholarship, community service opportunities, and will compete on-stage for the crown.
The role of Miss Orem's Teen is an exciting, fun, challenging year of service that requires energy, positivity, professionalism and courtesy. Miss Orem's Teen uses her term to inspire, promote, engage and represent teen girls throughout our city and their respective ambitions, goals, dreams and visions of their futures.
A first step to continuing her education, the role of Miss Orem's Teen is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that carries with it prestige, influence, responsibility and great honor. Each year the Miss Orem Scholarship Organization has been able to increase their scholarship awards. Not only are those who join the royalty rewarded, but there are also various additional scholarships available to contestants. All contestants will have the opportunity to choose a service initiative which they will be able to pursue throughout their year of service. Contestants will develop interview, public speaking, and performance skills throughout the course of the competition season. Sisterhood represents the amazing network of women supporting women that each contestant gains when she competes at any level in the Miss American Organization. As a Miss America contestant you will have the opportunity to add to the legacy of this 100 year old organization. When preparing to compete think about what you want to add to this organization and how you can make a lasting positive impact on the community within which you serve.

Areas of competition
Interview
Teens will privately meet with a panel of judges the morning of the competition for a 8 minute interview. The interview will account for 30% of their final score.
Talent
Each teen contestant will have 90 seconds to debut a talent of their choosing. Their talent performance will account for 20% of their final score.
Health and Fitness
On-stage Conversation
Teens dawn their favorite fitness attire and perform a choreographed fitness routine on-stage. Fitness accounts for 20% of each contestant's final score.

Each contestant will answer a random questions on-stage and will be given 30-60 seconds to answer it eloquently. Their answer will account for 10% of their final score.
Evening Gown

Evening Gown
Contestants will get to choose a beautiful formal evening gown to wear as they walk across the stage. Judges will score their poise, grace, and most importantly CONFIDENCE. This score accounts for 20% of each contestant's final total.
Eligibility Requirements
Age Requirements
Contestants must be born between October 1, 2008 and September 1, 2013.
Residency Requirements
Work, live in, or go to school in Orem or Vineyard for at least three months (must provide proof of residency)
Other Requirements
Be a young woman who who is willing to serve her community and commit to a year of personal progress and self-development
Commitments
- Willing to commit to compete at Miss Utah's Teen 2026 and pay any associated state competition fees
- Commit to attending Orem Summerfest (2nd week of June)
- Attend all parades throughout Utah County during the summer
- Participate in Orem City's Veteran's Day and Memorial Day services, and
- Attend Orem City's "Lights On" event during the holidays (usually the end of November)
Contracts
Must comply with the Miss Orem Scholarship Organization Code of Conduct as well as the Miss America Organization contract and any other contracts pertaining to the competition.

- April 9 - Spring Break - No workshop April 9, 2026
- April 16 - All paperwork due April 16, 2026 (Lottery Night)
- April 17 - All ad sales due at midnight on April 17, 2026
- April 23 - Dress-Dress Rehearsal (Mandatory) April 23, 2026
- April 27 - City Council Interviews (Mandatory) April 27, 2026
- May 7 - Talent Track Due May 7, 2026
- May 11 - Kick Off
