Who is Miss Orem?
Miss Orem is the celebrity representative of the Miss Orem Scholarship Organization, which has existed since 1944. Each year, our Miss Orem is selected from exceptional young women between 18-28 years of age.
The role of Miss Orem is an exciting, fun, challenging year of service that requires energy, positivity, professionalism and courtesy. Miss Orem uses her term to inspire, promote, engage and represent woman throughout our city and their respective ambitions, goals, dreams and visions of their futures.

Each year the Miss Orem Scholarship Organization has been able to increase their scholarship awards. Not only are those who join the royalty rewarded, but there are also various additional scholarships available to contestants. All contestants will have the opportunity to choose a service initiative which they will be able to pursue throughout their year of service. Contestants will develop interview, public speaking, and performance skills throughout the course of the competition season. Sisterhood represents the amazing network of women supporting women that each contestant gains when she competes at any level in the Miss American Organization. As a Miss America contestant you will have the opportunity to add to the legacy of this 100 year old organization. When preparing to compete think about what you want to add to this organization and how you can make a lasting positive impact on the community within which you serve.

Contestants will privately meet with a panel of judges the morning of the competition for a 30 second community service pitch and a 10 minute sit down interview. The interview will account for 30% of their final score.
Talent

Each contestant will have 90 seconds to debut a talent or share a story of their choosing. Their talent performance will account for 20% of their final score.
Evening Gown

Contestants will wear a beautiful formal evening gown as they walk across the stage. Judges will score their poise, grace, and most importantly CONFIDENCE. This score accounts for 20% of each contestant's final total.
