A quote that inspires me is “Be the change you wish to see in the world” by Mahatma Gandhi. Nothing will be done if everyone sits back and waits for something to change, so taking initiative to step up and make the change yourself will impact not only yourself, but the rest of the world. Your actions could do so much if you take initiative, and you could inspire a lot of people looking to be a great person one day.

My talent is called ‘Orange Blossom Special’. I have dreamed of playing this on my violin for years. It is a fun fiddle, upbeat, and showy piece.

I have been an athlete for my entire life, playing numberless sports from soccer to swimming, and I have learned how important sports are for personal growth. Keeping our bodies healthy is crucial to mental health and finding joy, and I am grateful that fitness is a part of pageant life. As I’ve involved myself with fitness, I’ve seen the changes it’s had on my life.

My CSI is called “Read, Write, Rise” and is aimed towards children and teens to teach them the joy and importance that literacy holds. I’ve started a writing club at my school and am the current president. I’ve visited elementary schools to show them the positive impact literacy has had on my life.

I think onstage question is a great part of the pageant. The interviews and onstage question, while being possibly the hardest part of pageantry, are greatly impactful. I love onstage question and how it forces you to think on your feet and learn how to respond to questions you don’t immediately know the answers to. There is great growth that comes with this and I know it will bless my life in the future.
